Are there opportunities for non-clinical work, including professional development?
YES – Opportunities are endless. Several Hospitalists serve on hospital committees, lead in quality initiatives, patient safety and medical education. CME events and training programs are available within the system.
Are there any specific patient groups or is there co-management in any of them?
Hospitalists will provide inpatient care to the continuum of patient groups. Co-management is provided to numerous specialties.
Do I have to work nights?
You will only be required to work nights if contracted. However, in the event a program is short staffed, there may be a need to support filling night shifts in the schedule.
